O Christmas Tree

Image
I wanted to use the CTMH Evergreen stamp set, and came up with this idea. I die cut the largest rectangle from the Stitched So Sweetly die set. On that, I did a second and third generation stamp of the tall and medium trees so they would look like a forest of trees. For the first stamp, I stamped on scrap white cardstock. On the top of the tallest tree, I stamped the star in Versamark ink and embossed with gold embossing powder. Colors: SU! Shaded Spruce, Gold 1. Cut card base out of Shaded Spruce cardstock. 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, scored at 4 1/4. 2. Cut 4 x 5 1/4 out of gold cardstock and attach. 3. Cut 3 3/4 x 5 piece of Shaded Spruce. Emboss with Merry Melody embossing folder. Attach to card front. 4. Attach decorated tree rectangle. Use dimensionals to add the trees to the front of the card,  5. Stamp sentiment onto scrap of Shaded Spruce CS using versamark, emboss with gold embossing powder. Attach to card using mini dimensionals. 6. Cut 4 x 5 1/4 from white CS. Stamp sentiment...

Unique Carrots card

Image
I got this set because I saw some cute cards using it, but then afterwards wasn't sure what I would use it for. I finally used it for the first time and thought these cards turned out cute! I got the idea on pinterest from this pin. Colors: Mango Melody, Rich Razzleberry, Pear Pizzazz Stamp set: SU Thanks a Bunch! I stamped the small bunch of carrots on a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of white cardstock in the two colors. Then I stamped and cut out a large carrot in the Rich Razzleberry. Then I used the largest die from the Deckled Rectangles die set to cut out a piece of vellum. I added some embellishments to give it a finished look.

Cake Stand Birthday

Image
This set had some fun different cake layer styles to mix and match. It was a lot of fun to put together. I used the birthday embossing folder, and Night of Navy and Crumb Cake for my colors. I also added some Wink of Stella on the layers to give the card a little texture and visual interest. I came up with this layout from a card sketch I found on Pinterest.

Vintage Father's Day

Image
I have been staring at this stamp set for months, trying to figure out what I could do with it. Then I saw the Mystery Stamping layout and realized it would be perfect. I actually love the way this turned out. I used the stamped image instead of DSP and altered my measurements to fit the image. Now I'm ready for Father's Day in November!

Dainty Flowers sympathy

Image
Unfortunately I needed a sympathy card for some friends whose son tragically passed away. I cased this card I found on Pinterest and used the sentiments from the Timeless Tulips set. I think I like my version better than the one on Pinterest, but I did think it would be better with the three panels slightly wider, so there isn't so much space between them. But all in all, a good, quick sympathy card!

Treetop Birthday Card

Image
I needed a masculine birthday card, and I found this card on Pinterest that I decided to copy. I used the Beauty of Friendship DSP and stamp set on the inside of the card. The Happy Birthday on the front is from the Biggest Wish stamp set.

Vase and Flower

Image
I loved the fun vases in this stamp set. I used CTMH With Love set to create this card, and added interest and texture on the white panel with an embossing folder. I have decided I'm not a fan of lots of white space, but the embossing folder gives it a beautiful texture while not detracting from the white theme. I also like the monochromatic look with the Polished Pink ink and paper.

Little Bird Told Me Card

Image
I cased a card I found on Pinterest to create this card. I like how it turned out so I can use it for a birthday, a baby, or something else! On the front it says "A little bird told me..." and then inside it says, "You've got something to celebrate!"  I used the Wonderful World DSP to create a fun background, and then used Rich Razzleberry for the bird and the flowers.
